AS PRINCIPAL AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR of Don Morris Design (DMD), Don Morris tackles a wide variety of projects for a diverse client list. He breaks down complexity by finding simple, memorable solutions that express his client’s essential mission. An accomplished storyteller versed in all media, Don’s launched and rebranded companies, designed three film festivals and numerous events, helped start up restaurants, redesigned and launched many high profile magazines, launched and rebranded websites, art directed books, and created successful marketing campaigns.

Don engages in all facets of the design process—strategizing, ideating, pitching, creating innovative multi-platform solutions, leading teams, communicating thoroughly, constructing timelines, and building budgets. His creative and management success has fostered many long-term relationships with clients like American Express, A&E Networks, Bloomberg, Cisco, Hearst, Sundance, Time Inc., Viacom, and

Don Morris has won numerous awards from The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), The Art Director’s Club, Communication Arts, The Type Director’s Club, and The James Beard Foundation. He’s won The National Magazine Award twice, and has won many awards from the Society of Publication Designers (SPD). Don frequently judges The National Magazine Awards for The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME), SPD’s annual design, photography, and illustration competitions, and The James Beard Foundation Journalism Awards. 

Don lectures on design, project strategy, illustration, and photography, and has taught at Parsons School of Design and School of Visual Arts.
